About Me

While enrolled in the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, I had still yet to decide what I wanted to do with my career.  While enrolled in an Autism Practicum course, I met an amazing boy with Autism who changed my life.  His ABA Therapist trained me in the field and guided me on a path toward a career in ABA.  I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education in 2007.  I taught at Leander ISD in their Autism program for two years.  During that time, I learned a great deal about inclusion, social skills training, the school system and how to best assist families through that process.  Although my time teaching was short-lived, it prepared me to provide assistance in the classroom with current clients or teachers who desire behavioral training or assistance.

Upon leaving Leander ISD, I ran my own private practice under the supervision of a BCBA.  I spent 3 years contracting with Early Childhood Intervention in Central Texas, giving me an amazing opportunity to work with early learners and their families, as well as support families going through the diagnostic process.  I spent a year as Clinical Director of a small clinic in Fort Worth prior to moving to Houston.  In August 2012, I become Program Director of In Home Services and Program Director of Feeding Disorders in Cypress.  In order to spend more time with my son, I decided to begin my own practice once again.

I currently work with several adult day habilitation centers, individual families, as well as supervise therapists pursuing their certification.  I have had the amazing opportunity to work with all age ranges, from 15 months through age 60.  I work not only with individuals with autism, but also those with Mental Retardation, Schizophrenia, ODD, OCD, and many other dual diagnoses.  I am passionate to assist every client reach their maximum potential in life.  I love working with families, service providers and other colleagues to assist in clients reaching this goal.
